He aha te pūkete whakawhiti?
Me pēhea te mahi o ngā pūkete whakawhiti, te utu tūturu a ngā pēke, me te wāhi e hē ai ngā hōtaka whakawhiti moni inihua.
Aratohu tohutoro · Arotakehia i Mahuru 2026 · Arotake anō i Whiringa-ā-nuku 2026
- Sweep pricing is negotiated per relationship and is not on a public rate sheet. Every third-party rate on this page stays marked “To be sourced” until it has been read at the source and dated. For scale, the FDIC national average was 0.63% on money market accounts as of September 21, 2026.
- A sweep is built for cash you may need tomorrow morning. Reserves untouched for two quarters are paying for liquidity they never use. That is the tranche worth allocating elsewhere.
Te whakamārama me te tikanga.
Ehara te pūkete sweep i te pūkete. He tohutohu ia e piri ana ki tētahi: nekehia ngā mea katoa kei runga ake i te toenga whāinga ki tētahi wāhi e whiwhi moni ai, i te mutunga o ia rā mahi, ka whakahokia mai i mua i te wā e hiahiatia ana.
Kua whakatakotoria he toenga whāinga
You and the bank agree on a peg: the amount the operating account should hold at the end of each business day. It is usually sized on your payroll, tax and payables calendar, not on your total cash.
I runga i te hōtaka i hainatia e koe, he pūkete penapena, he pūtea mākete moni, he whatunga putunga tauutuutu, he whakaaetanga hoko anō rānei tērā.
For most of the twentieth century, US banks were prohibited from paying interest on business demand deposits (Regulation Q). The sweep was the workaround: leave the checking balance at zero interest, and move the surplus into something that could legally pay. The prohibition was repealed in 2011 under the Dodd-Frank Act, but the plumbing stayed, because it had become how corporate cash management was sold. That history matters when you read your rate. A sweep was designed to solve a regulatory problem, not to raise your yield, and the pricing still reflects that origin.
Ngā momo: pēke, mākete moni, kua inihuatia.
Five structures are sold under the same word. They differ on one question that matters more than the rate: what exactly do you own once the money has moved?
The simplest arrangement and the most common. Balances move between two accounts at one institution. Operationally invisible, but the rate is set unilaterally by the bank and the balance still counts as a claim on that single bank.
- Kei hea te moni e haere ana: Pūtea penapena, pūtea mākete moni rānei i te peke kotahi
- Tūnga inihua: Kua inihuatia e FDIC, tae atu ki $250,000 mō ia kaitāpui, mō ia peke, mō ia kāwai rangatira
- Whakataunga: Rā anō, whakawhiti pukapuka ā-roto
The cash leaves the bank’s balance sheet and buys shares in a fund holding Treasury bills, repo and agency paper. Yield is quoted as a 7-day yield, already net of the fund’s expense ratio. Credit risk moves from one bank to a diversified portfolio of short government paper. The fund is governed by SEC Rule 2a-7 (see Sources).
- Te wāhi e haere ai te moni: He pūtea mākete moni kua rēhitatia, i te nuinga o te wā he pūtea kāwanatanga
- Insurance status: Not a deposit and not FDIC insured: you own fund shares
- Whakataunga: Ko te hokonga mai i te nuinga o te wā ka whakatau i te rā mahi kotahi, i te rā mahi e whai ake nei rānei
Your deposit is split into pieces placed at other member banks, each piece staying under the insurance limit, while your relationship stays with one bank. It buys insured capacity well beyond a single charter. It also costs yield, because the network and the placing bank both take a share.
Mēnā he teitei ake tō reeti nama i tētahi reeti pūtea ka taea e koe, ko tēnei te horoinga e hua nui ana. Koia anō tērā e waiho ana kia kore koe e whiwhi i tētahi mea hei tohatoha.
- Te wāhi e haere ai te moni: Te toenga o tō nama hurihuri
- Insurance status: Not applicable: no balance is held

He aha i putu ai ngā pūtau o te tēpū
Publishing a sweep rate we have not verified would make this page useless to the person who needs it. Bank sweep pricing is negotiated per relationship and is not on a public rate sheet. A number scraped from an aggregator would be an average of contracts that are not yours. Each cell is filled only after the rate has been read at the source and dated. The method is the same one used on the rate barometer.

Reciprocal deposit networks solve a real problem (insured capacity above one charter), and they are widely used for good reason. They also carry conditions that are easy to read as guarantees when they are not.
He aha te mea e tukuna ana e ia
Te mea kāore e mahia
Te āhuatanga kore e āta tirohia e te tangata
Ka utua te inihua FDIC ina hinga tētahi pēke kua inihuatia. Kāore e utua ina mutu te mahi a te hinonga e pupuri ana i te rārangi o ngā kaipupuri. Ina noho tētahi takawaenga i waenga i te kaipupuri pūtea me ngā pēke mema, nā taua takawaenga aua rārangi.
The 2024 failure of a US banking-as-a-service intermediary made the point concretely. The underlying banks did not fail, so deposit insurance was never triggered, and end customers still waited on a ledger reconciliation to learn what they were owed. Ask your provider three questions in writing: who maintains the beneficial ownership records, how often they are reconciled to the member banks, and what happens to your access if the administrator stops operating. A satisfactory answer is specific.
Coinstancy Pro is explicit on the same question: it is not FDIC insured. Funds are covered by OpenCover on Sensitive Protocols defined by Coinstancy, subject to policy terms, limits and exclusions. The coverage page lists what is excluded.
Ngā kōwhiringa kē atu i te pēke.
Kāhore tētahi o ēnei e whakakapi i te sweep. Ka whakataetae rātou mō tētahi wāhanga rerekē o te moni: te rāhui kāore i neke i roto i ngā hauwhā e rua, ā, kei te utua ināianei he reiti pō mō te moni wātea pō kāore e whakamahia ana e ia.
Ngā putea pūtea a te Kāwanatanga, i hokona tika

Pātai Auau
He whakaritenga aunoa e neke ana i te moni kei runga ake i te toenga kua whakaritea mai i tō pūkete whakahaere i te mutunga o ia rā mahi ki roto i tētahi waka whakaputa moni, whakangao rānei, ā, ka hoki anō ina hiahiatia e te pūkete whakahaere.
It depends entirely on where the cash is swept. A bank deposit sweep stays in insured deposits, subject to the $250,000 limit per depositor, per bank, per ownership category. An insured cash sweep uses a reciprocal network to multiply that capacity, subject to correct titling and recordkeeping. A money market fund sweep or a repo sweep is not FDIC insured at all: you hold shares or a collateralized claim, not a deposit.
Nā te mea he utu i whakaritea e te pēke te reiti sweep, ehara i te reiti mākete ka whiwhi koe. Ka whiwhi moni te umanga i runga i te toenga kotahi, ā, ka tukuna he wāhanga. I runga i te sweep moni inihua, ka tango hoki te whatunga i tētahi wāhanga. Kāore tēnei rerekētanga e whakaaturia motuhake ana i tō pūrongo.
No. It extends coverage by splitting your balance into increments under $250,000 across member banks, but every program has an aggregate cap, and balances you already hold at a member bank can reduce the coverage a placement actually delivers. Above the cap, the excess is an uninsured deposit like any other.
It is different, not strictly safer. A government fund replaces a concentrated claim on one bank with a diversified portfolio of short government paper, which removes single-institution failure risk. In exchange you give up deposit insurance, and the fund’s yield and its fee waivers can both change without notice.
He mea hanga te sweep mō te moni e tika ana kia wātea āpōpō i te ata. Ko ngā rāhui kāore anō koe kia pā atu i roto i ngā hauwhā e rua e utu ana mō te wātea kāore e whakamahia. Ko te wehewehe i ēnei e rua (te moni whakahaere i roto i te sweep, ngā rāhui i roto i tētahi taputapu roa ake) ko te wāhi e puta ai te hua. Koinei te whakataunga e mahia ana e te aratohu whakahaere pūtea.
Ehara i te mea hei whakakapi mō tētahi. Ka tango a Coinstancy Pro i te USD, i te USDC rānei, ka utu 6.00% APY me te kore here, ā, tae atu ki te 6.75% i te tekau mā rua marama, ā, ka whakatau i ngā tangohanga i roto i te 48 hāora i muri i te KYB kotahi (Whakamana Know Your Business). Kāore i te inihua FDIC. Ka hipokina ngā pūtea e tika ana mā OpenCover mō ētahi kaupapa kawa motuhake, i raro i ngā tikanga kaupapa here, ngā here me ngā whakakorenga. Puritia te pūtea whakahaere i roto i te sweep, ā, toha noa i te pūtea rāhui.
